Welcome to Dolphin Class

We are Dolphin Class, we are Year 5 children - so not quite the oldest in school, but getting there!

Our class room is upstairs in school (a privledge for only Y5 and Y6!). We work very hard in all lessons, and our lessons are always fun!

Our teacher is Miss Shaw, and we are helped in our class by Mrs Smith. Sometimes teaching students from the University of Hull will be helping us out

For regular Dolphin updates please see our Facebook and Twitter pages.

Autumn 2014

This term we were learning about the weather, we were delighted to be joined by TV weatherman Paul Mooney.

Last year we learned all about Space, and had a fantastic Space Day in our classroom, where our parents came in to learn with us!

Eden Camp Trip - May 2013

Our Summer Term topic is 'Events that changed the World' and as part of this we are learning about World War 2. We had an 'Evacuee Day' in school, and have also visited the Eden Camp War Museum in Malton.

October 2012

We have already had a very exciting start to the term! We went to Durham to the Oriental Museum to learn about China, and worked with Claudio Kron - an amazing Brazilian drummer who performed with us at Musicport where we played wicked Samba!

November 2011

So far this year we have been learning lots about the rainforest. We went to Tropical World in Leeds, and even designed our own tribal tattoos. We very much enjoy Maths, especially as we get to do it practically sometimes, and play lots of Math games. Learning in year 5 is fun.

Dolphins 2010/2011

Because our topic this term is Inspirational People, we went to Eden Camp in Malton to learn more about people in World War 2. We had a fantastic day.
