PSHE / Citizenship

PSHE (Personal, Social and Health Education) allows the children to learn different strategies which helps them deal with problems in a variety of ways and resolve conflicts they may face. The children also learn about the importance of staying healthy (including alcohol, tobacco and drugs education) as well as age appropriate SRE. (Sex and Relationships Education)

Through our teaching of PSHE at West Cliff Primary School, we aim to prepare our children for the challenges and responsibilities they will face as they grow up in such rapidly changing and challenging times. PSHE promotes children’s personal, social and economic development, as well as their health and well-being. It gives the children the knowledge, skills and understanding they need to lead confident, healthy, independent lives and to become informed, active and responsible citizens.
