We are a beach school and are very committed to learning outside of the classroom. Exploring, motivating, engaging, creating and thinking.
We aim to give every child the best possible start to their education. We work with children from the age of 2 until they transfer to Primary School.
Our children are currently organised into 7 classes & a new Guppies Nursery Class. Our class numbers range from 22 to 32. We pride ourselves on personalised learning.
At West Cliff our aspirational curriculum is designed to recognise and build on children’s prior learning and develop inquisitive, curious, resilient and independent learners who are willing to ‘tame their tigers’.

Key Stage 2 children were visited this morning by Jay from the fishing school. He talked to us about the history and role of the fishing industry in Whitby, which links very well to our history topic. We also found out about what the fishing school does and future careers (linking well with our careers curriculum). We look forward to visiting soon to find out more. A huge thank you to Jay for leading our assembly this morning!

What a start to our new musical theatre club! We certainly have some talent here at West Cliff and we cannot wait to perform to you at the end of term! We are so proud of the confidence and courage on display. From West Cliff …..to the West End!!!

Good morning all. Thank you for the huge response to our new musical theatre club with Chris. We can confirm that all pupils who brought back the reply slip are confirmed to attend from today.
